Davis Santiago is owner and CEO of Davis Associates Design, Inc., a high-end interior decorating and design company specializing in murals, custom backdrops, venetian stucco, gold leaf, and other custom finishes.
He attended the prominent Studio School of Stage Design which specializes in theatrical art. He studied under the direction of instructors, Peter Allburn and Peter Miller, who are well-known at Harvard and the Julliard School. His studies included scenic stage design, trompe l’oeil, television/movie production, and Broadway production. One of his courses included an instructor-led backstage tour and lecture of the prestigious Julliard School in Manhattan.
Santiago’s artwork was featured in 1989 at an exhibit at the Gateway Theatre in Manhattan which featured the talents of local Hispanic artists.
Originally from Youngstown Ohio, Santiago, has already left a legacy of artwork back in his hometown. Many Youngstown buildings still house his creations, including murals in East High School and the OCCHA (Organization Cultural Civic Hispanic Americans). Other works have included custom artwork of the New York City skyline, and a friend’s summer home in Italy.
